From Latscherhof approx. 20 m up the road to the asphalt path, which turns off right and leads through the fruit plantations. Go on to the Forststraße opposite (large iron door) at the end of the path (No. 11). The Forststraße leads through thinly wooded area and after some bends – moderately ascending – you come to the fork where the return path also begins (to Morter). You leave the Forststraße for a short time and choose a narrow path in the woods which itself branches off into the Forststraße and leads to the castle complex of Obermontani (the castle chapel of St. Stephen is especially worth seeing). On a narrow mountain path with fantastic vantage points to the ruin of Untermontani, get off and turn right near the roofed wooden bridge and go further in the direction of Latsch/Bierkeller. After crossing the orchard, short ascent to the Mareinwaal , which leads to the eating house “Bierkeller”. From there on the asphalt way, through the orchards, back to the starting point.
