Goldrain... according to popular tradition this melodious name is reminiscent of the “gold mines” beneath the ruins of the Laggar mountain lodge. In reality perhaps only lead sulphide was found there. The holiday resort Goldrain (650 m) – with its 910 inhabitants – is idyllically nestled against the Sonnenberg, which enchants through its unique vegetation and is an ideal starting point for panorama and mountain hikes.
