As with the most villages located on the Nördersberg, the forest here also reaches down into the village. Tarsch (690 inhabitants) is the gift of a mighty “Murkgel” (800 m), a geological rock formations typical of the Vinschgau Valley, a picture which is confirmed nowhere else in a more impressive way as from Tarsch, where you can look at the magnificent landscape architecture as if from a balcony. From this holiday resort you also can reach the hiking paradise of the Tarscher mountain pasture with its fascinating hiking paths and areas of great natural beauty.
