Some step into happiness with relish – follow the soft splashing of the waals or to the lake near the Tarsch alpine pasture. Some prefer it athletic: along the sunny slope of St. Martin to the Vermois peak or the Hasenohr glacier. Most turn aside for “bacon breaks” in pasture huts, some let themselves be carried by lifts, all love the Stilfserjoch National Park, Italy’s largest park begins at the door step. Marmosets, deer, stags, protected alpine flowers, waterfalls – when was the last time you saw any of this?All the same: Many try their luck without hiking shoes. And find it for example in sports facilities of international format: athletics stadium, sport centre, ice skating rink – everything is there. Tennis, cycling, gymnastics, shooting, rafting on the Adige, summer skiing on the Stilfserjoch or on the Schnalstaler Glacier, fishing in the Adige or in the Quellensee, paragliding. The south wind is optimal. You like to cycle? Cycle paths snake through orchards – a dream during apple blossoming – for sightseeing. But you can also just do nothing. |
