Adventure summer 2010Cultural village tourDate: every Monday from 29.03. to 25.10.2010(Easter and Pentecost every Saturday, starting at 10 a.m.) Start: 3.30 p.m. Meeting place: Tourist Board Latsch Duration: 1.5 hours Fees: 1,00 € for entry into the Spital church Included: welcome drink Before the start of the guided tour, we will serve you some refreshing drinks at the tourist board office. Afterwards, Mr Hermann Lampacher will accompany you to the St. Peter and St. Paul Parish Church, the Spital Church with the Jörg Lederer altar and the Bichl church. Enjoy SpringtimeDate: Tuesday 20.04./27.04./04.05./11.05.2010Meeting place: Latsch Tourist Information 9.30 a.m. Duration: approx. 4-5 hours Participation fee: 8,00 € Including: Visit to a farm that keeps bees Through blooming orchards, to the castles of Untermontani und Obermontani, via the "Neuwaalweg" and "Raminiwaal" paths to Tarsch. In Neuhaushof the farmer's wife Tona spoils us with homemade cakes and coffee. We then visit the beekeeping farm and its products at the Bachgut-Hof. And its back on the "old Tarsch path" through blooming orchards back to Latsch. Apple teaching trail and visit to the Mivor Fruit Co-OperativeDate: every Wednesday from 21.04. to 04.08.2010Start: 2 p.m. Meeting place: Mivor car park (industrial zone) in Latsch Duration: 1,5 hours Fees: free of charge In the apple garden of the Vinschgau, accompanied by Leo the farmer, you will learn everything worth knowing about ‘integrated cultivation’, space-covering irrigation systems, the impressive frost protection system and, last but not least, about the unique taste of the Vinschgau apples. Kräuterschlössl (lit: Herb Castle)Start: every Wednesday from 21.04. to 13.10.2010Meeting point: 10.15 a.m. at the Kräuterschlössl in Goldrain, Schanzenstr. 50 (use the Vinschger railway) Duration: approx. 1.5 hrs Minimum number of participants: 7 people (suitable for children over 12) Maximum number of participants: 20 people Participation fee: 5,00 € Including: welcome drink Additional offers: daily tours of the farmyard possible for groups - must be booked in advance; we serve a snack/ herb dish with local farmer’s produce on request Registration: the day before at the Kräuterschlössl, tel. 0473 742367 or 333 2005408 In the Kräuterschlössl, you will be greeted by Urban and Annemarie, who will guide you through the lovingly cultivated herb gardens and tell you the secret of organic farming practices without the use of pesticides. You will experience herbs with all your senses and learn valuable details about processing and refining them. The adventure show garden and the show garden on the roof of the Kräuterschlössl with its variety of herbs and wonderful view will inspire you. Tip: Our farm shop is open 7 days a week. Rafting adventure for our little guestsStart: every Wednesday from 12.05. to 15.09.2010Meeting place: 1 p.m. at the offices of Acquaterra (sports stadium Latsch) Duration: until 5.00 p.m. Bring: bathing trunks, towel, track shoes (technical equipment is available free of charge) Minimum number of participants: 5 children (4 - 12 years) Fees: 28,00 € per child Family card: at least 3 people (1 adult and 2 kids or 2 adults and 1 child; 20% reduction on the adult rate of 38,00 €) Adventure and fun are guaranteed at this rafting trip on the Etsch river: from Kastelbell to Naturns, accompanied by an accredited rafting guide. The mill is clattering…Date: Wednesday 09.06./16.06./23.06./14.07/21.07./04.08./11.08/18.08./25.08./01.09.2010Meeting place: 4.00 p.m. at the tourist information centre in Martell (National Park House culturamartell) Duration: approx. 2 hours Minimum number of participants: 3 people Maximum number of participants: 15 people Participation fee: adults 5,00 €; children (up to the age of 12) 2,50 € Only after its disappearance did we become aware that we had lost something unique. The old mill “Soi Reit” (first mentioned in 1888) has been lovingly and faithfully restored. You can experience the fascinating process of milling grain into flour in the flesh. Long-forgotten expressions like “grain hopper” or “broad box” are made comprehensible using touch, sight and descriptions. The old manufacture of wooden fences, dry stone walls, “Schindlkliabn” and “chopping fence nails” are explained and looked at. Step back in time to when your grandfather was a boy in this tour and learn how to look after our landscape - one of the most beautiful tasks that exists in “God's garden”. Irrigation hiking trip with wine tastingDate: every Thursday from 01.04. to 28.10.2010Start: 3 p.m. Meeting place: Tourist Board Latsch Duration: approx. 3.5 hours Minimum number of participants: 5 people Maximum number of participants: 20 people Fees: 8,00 € Included: Tasting of several red and white wines Easy hiking trip (approx. 1 hour) along the idyllic Latschanderwaal (irrigation channel road) to Kastelbell. At the farmhouse, you will be welcomed by one of the wine growers, who will give you lots of information about the cultivation, care and processing of grapes. Afterwards, we will taste different wines in the unique wine cellar. The return journey is along the Tieftalweg, through orchards and back to Latsch. Exciting adventure for our little guests – absailing from the water fall (canyoning)Start: every Thursday from 13.05. to 16.09.2010Meeting place: 9.30 a.m. at the offices of Acquaterra (Castelbello, Via della Rena, 2 ) Duration: 3 hours Bring: bathing trunks, towel, hiking boots (technical equipment is available free of charge) Minimum number of participants: 5 children (6 - 16 years) Fees: 35,00 € per child Family card: at least 3 people (1 adult and 2 children OR 2 adults and 1 child; 20% reduction on the adult rate of 48,00 €) Accompanied by two qualified guides, you will climb into the wild and romantic Tisser Canyon, along the water fall. Particularly exciting is absailing with the lift. "Cheese display" at the Oberkaser farm in St. Martin i.K. Use the cable car to reach St. Martin i.K. in comfort and make the 10 minute walk to the Oberkaser farm (alternatively, walk from Latsch to St. Martin in approx. 3 hours/1,100 metres in altitude). The Pixner family will be waiting for you there and will explain how cheese is produced. Then taste the farm's dairy products Creative handicrafts for the family with hay, moss and wool felting at a mountain farm in MartellDate: every Friday from 28.05. to 03.09. and from 15.10. to 29.10.2010Meeting place: 2.00 p.m. at the Stallwieshof in Martell, Waldberg 1 Duration: approx. 2.5 hrs Minimum number of participants: 3 people (suitable for children aged 3 or above; children must be accompanied by an adult) Maximum number of participants: 20 people Participation fee: 10,00 € Including: homemade natural juice to quench your thirst Important: for organisational reasons, please state the age of children when registering At the “Stallwieshof” in Martell – where there is also a “petting zoo” - adults and children can spend relaxing hours in the barn where Anni and Margareth show you what kind of things you can make from hay and moss. They also show you how to felt wool and all kinds of original presents that can be made from it. There are no limits to the imagination! The small pieces of art that you make can be taken home as a souvenir. |
